Varieties of succulents by process of moisture accumulation

It should be noted that all succulents are divided into two main groups, which differ in the process of moisture accumulation.

Succulents are leafy: moisture in this species accumulates in thick leaves, which have in their structure a unique waxy shell that allows them to accumulate liquid and retain it for a significant period of time.
Stem succulents: The difference from the leafy species is that the accumulation of fluid occurs in the stem. Thanks to the root system, which preserves moisture on the ground surface, it is possible to keep liquid in the stem of the plant.
Plants of succulents, which belong to the stem species, have the ability to accumulate and store moisture in the thickened part of the stem. Leaves are usually small in size and prickly. If we talk about succulents related to the leaf variety, moisture is accumulated through the leaf, which has a fleshy and thick structure.

It is noted that the succulents, regardless of the variety, easily adapt in the following conditions:

Dry climate

Small amount of moisture and precipitation;
Unbalanced fluid distribution;
In case of a high level of radiation background;
Influence of ultraviolet radiation;
Perfectly adaptable when dry in the air;
Influence of temperature fluctuations;
Influence of clayey or stony soil.
